Transitalia Marathon 2023: An Epic Journey Through Italy
Over three breathtaking days, from 24 to 27 September, the new edition of the Transitalia Marathon, the adventouring event that has been attracting thousands of motorcyclists from all over the world for years, took place with great success. This year the marathon took 450 brave participants from 23 different nations to explore the enchanting hidden treasures of Italy, crossing a variety of incredible landscapes and fascinating places.
The Transitalia Marathon is an international on and off-road motorcycling event that celebrates its ninth edition this year. A three-day journey with the aim of exploring the wonders, traditions and tastes of the peninsula. The Transitalia Marathon is an unforgettable way to relive the atmosphere of the great rallies of the past combined with the passion of true adventure on two wheels.
On Sunday, the 24th, motorcyclists gathered on the starting grid to start their engines. The start was scheduled for 9.30 a.m., with participants from all over the world ready to take off from the stage in Piazzale Fellini.
The three main stages to be reached were Città di Castello, Chianciano Terme and Follonica. Afterwards, the participants returned along the coast, heading for Riccione, where they would arrive the following Wednesday at Piazzale Roma. Three days entirely dedicated to fun and adventure, an unforgettable journey through the culture and landscapes of central Italy.
What made the 2023 edition memorable, however, was not only the magnificent scenery or the contagious enthusiasm of the participants: during the days leading up to the marathon, Transitalia Expo was also held, the first international outdoor motorcycling trade fair, which returns to Rimini in style for its second edition.
The Expo was a meeting point for motorcycling enthusiasts, the main companies and manufacturers in the sector who filled the forecourt to present the latest models, equipment and accessories.
An event under the banner of the fascination of two wheels, passion for many, lifestyle for others, fun for all. Not only exhibition, but also content, activities and demo raids to actively experience the EXPO.
Motorstorm had the opportunity to play a role in this great initiative, firstly as a sponsor of the event and, moreover, by participating together with the stands of Alpinestars and Klim, with whom it boasts a long-standing partnership.
It was exciting to see the stands full of people interested in the items on display, the novelties, and pleased to be able to make their last purchases before departure. The presentation of the new Tech-Air Off-Road System by Alpinestars aroused great enthusiasm, revolutionising the off-road world with the innovative Air-Bag system, soon to be available on the Motostorm.it website. Meanwhile, Klim caught the attention of the participants by showing the best of its range of off-road accessories and clothing.

Now, with great anticipation, motorcycling enthusiasts are looking forward to the tenth edition of the Transitalia Marathon, which promises important new features and increasingly exciting routes.
