The most exciting moment of the long preparations of the Transitalia Marathon 2017 is the withdrawal of the 400 paper Road Books, a ritual that once again sees the realization of the work done on the entire route with pen and paper in hand for thousands and thousands of kilometers.
The Road Book is in fact the peculiarity of the event, the navigation tool that characterizes any International Rally and the Transitalia is an event that stands out for having a character at the highest level that perfectly combines the Rally atmosphere with Tourism
Preparing a professional Road Book is a huge job that requires months of work, continuous inspections, verification of every change of direction and precise details for mileage and distances.
In the 2017 edition the Transitalia Marathon will make available to participants who have requested it at the time of registration three Road Books, one for each stage, highly professional and detailed that will give the thrill of identifying with a real Rally.
The many notes, about 250 per stage, will make every day fun and navigated just as per true rally tradition.
The Road Books tracked and designed by Mirco Urbinati, were created thanks to the collaboration of the Motostorm store in Morciano di Romagna (RN), one of the most important commercial realities in Italy in the motorcycle sector.
The GPS track loaded on modern navigation systems is a guarantee not to get lost but the charm of scrolling notes on paper, the ability to interpret them at best and the satisfaction of arriving at the end of the stage having "navigated" is very satisfying.
All that remains is to bring a roll of scotch tape, markers to highlight the salient features on the "printed roll" and mount your Road Book on the instrument, wait for the start and enjoy the landscapes of the Transitalia Marathon 2017.
