In February 2024, one of the riders we at Motostorm support, Alessandro Zaccone, protagonist of the Tech 3 team in the Moto E world championship, came to visit us. From that meeting the interview we are proposing to you was born.
p>The return to the Moto E was also nice because in any case I was coming from a 2021 where I had played for the championship until the last race so it was a nice return. It wasn't very simple, because in any case going from a Moto 2 to a Moto E is quite difficult, especially for the tires, but it was nice, let's say that I had some unfinished business with this category and after a year of, in quotes, running-in we set off for 2024 with the aim of trying to play the championship again.
The transition from energetic to Ducati however marked a revolution for the Moto And because in any case they brought a totally different, very high-performance motorbike, they brought let's say a racing prototype. The category is getting closer to the others, we are starting to be very fast. As mentioned, the entry of Ducati has made a big leap to the category, in my opinion in a couple of years with the development that will take place they will start to be very fast.
The difference between a thermal motorbike and an electric one is not that great: the riding pleasure is very similar, in fact the Moto E has very significant acceleration, it is not so far from a thermal motorbike, which is a little more It's difficult to accept electric, but as a driving pleasure it's really fun.
An all-electric future in motorsport will be difficult at least in the short term, but it's not something to be ruled out because every year there are big developments: our category brings big improvements every year so it can't be ruled out, we'll see. It will certainly be sad to say goodbye to classic engines but we are open to innovation.
